So long...

It has been so long since I have even looked at this thing, but life has been amazing. Life has changed so much in our little home. Lincoln Robert Reents is almost 10 weeks old. He is growing up so fast. He is not sleeping through the night yet, but we are hopeful that it will happen soon. Patrick is busier than ever with football camps, basketball camps, and class. He is in the middle of his Master program at SIUE. Lincoln is smiling so much more, which is so enjoyable. To see that cute smile on his face just melts my heart. He is starting to make baby noises as well, sometimes they turn into a loud ear pounding cry but I guess that is the way it goes. My sister is recoving from a major surgery and is doing well. God is so gracious and patient with us through all of our hard times and he gives us so much hope! It is great. Summer is Here! woow wooo.

Favorite things!

Hello everyone, it has been so very long. I am finally getting back to doing regular things since school is over. I am still busy studying for the state board and Patrick is very busy with school and coaching. But as Jenny would say "Such is Life". FAVORITE THINGS! so this is the fun tittle of this... so have you ever had something so long that you have worn holes in it or had something so long that when you touch it, it just vaporizes into thin air. Well ladies and gentlemen we could only hope that could happen to Patrick's favorite socks. Let me tell you how hard it is to get him to buy new socks. He just loves the one's he has. I finally had to sew up this pair so he could wear them again. He would wear these everyday if he could. So my challenge to all of you is to post your favorite story about your favorite thing that you could not give up. Jenny I know yours already with Ben! The red fleece (sweatshirt), sorry Ben if that brings up tears of sadness. I Love my husband and his sense of style. hehe

Fireballs

I know you are all thinking... this is amazing... how can Patrick hold fire in his hand? well if you must know Patrick and I and the Messina's and Derek went outside one night and made fireballs. This is a good story... so one night while Patrick and I were both not doing anything.. I know that is pretty rare because of school and sports, but anyway Patrick had this great idea to look up something to do on youtube. Because we all know that youtube is never ending and has so many things on it that it could be almost bad. Well anyway he typed in ...... How To... and the first thing that came up was How to make a fireball... crazy huh! so we decided to do it. So gentlemen if you are dieing to make a fireball with patrick he would love to show you. It is the funnest thing, I know it sounds a little silly and yeah maybe dangerous, but really it is pretty safe. All you do is cut up an old shirt and wrap it into a ball, then you thread it tight so that it will stick together as a ball. Then all you have to do is soak it into lighter fluid and that is that. The lighter fluid will burn and not the shirt. It starts to get a little hot after awhile so you have to move it back and forth from hand to hand so it does not burn you. So if you are looking for some excitment at parties Patrick is your man! hahah just joking. It was fun, but I would only suggest doing it for a little while.

The number 32

I guess I never thought about explaining what the Number 32 meant in the title of this blog spot. Well lets see, if any of you know Patrick then you know he is passionate about so many things. And when Patrick loves something he never lets it go. For example he lovessss the Miami Dolphins even if they have a terrible season. He also loves Mt.Dew, but ever since high school he has loved the number 32. This is no joke! when Patrick was in college he saw a friend of his with a shirt that said 32 on it, it was a nice shirt (kind of an old vintage shirt) but anyway he ran up to his friend and asked if he could buy it off of him, and the guy sold it to him right then and there. (the shirt was really little on Patrick, but he wore it anyway) WOW! . He said to me that if there were 32 days in a month then we would have gotten married on that day. He also tells me that when he turns 32 it will be the best year everrrr and every day will be his birthday. There are so many funny stories with that number! so in putting this on my blog if anyone ever finds anything with the number 32 on it (shirt, shorts, socks ect..) then please let me know and I will give you money for it! I am serious! Patrick would freak out if he got something with that number on it. (Thanks Lyndsay for asking about the number)

Funny story

So many of you know that I am in nursing school. Well being in nursing school comes with funny stories, especially when it deals with older patients. My class and I were at an assisted living home and we were trying to get the residents to play BINGO! I know that sounds like so much fun (to me anyway), but they were not that excited. Between trying to wake them up from falling asleep in their snack and keeping them all in the same area, lets just say it was a challenge. Anyway my friend Sarah was trying to talk to an older woman about what she would like to do after bingo. The woman just looked at Sarah and reached her hand for her (sisters) womanly body part. Sarah was shocked, the woman continued to keep a hold of them while talking. The woman said "You have big ones!", Sarah's face was priceless, she had no idea what to do. Finally after contemplating what to do Sarah politely said "Honey, God gives us different gifts". Oh my gosh it was the funniest thing, Sarah was a little embarrassed but she was so great about it. If you ever meet Sarah you would realize how her Kentucky accent made the story even better. It just makes me realize that during the most uncomfortable moments in life we should take a minute and think about what we are going to say. (this might be one of those stories where you had to have been there) :)
